Overview
Streamworlds is a platform developed by RAVE.SPACE that expands traditional Twitch livestreams into interactive 3D worlds. The goal is to transform livestreaming from a purely passive viewing format into an active, communal experience.
Viewers enter the virtual space of a channel directly via their browser, without any installation or download. There, they can move around as avatars, interact with each other, use voice and text chat, place stickers, or play mini-games. All actions are synchronized in real time with the Twitch stream.
Background and Motivation
Twitch has established itself as one of the most dynamic media formats but, despite its massive reach, still offers only limited interaction between viewers, community, and creators. Streamworlds directly addresses this gap: every stream becomes a persistent social experience space that remains open even outside of live sessions.
