A DJ turntable to turn and zoom, with an exploded view, explanatory hotspots, a guided tour for the shop floor and AR placement at true size. Browser only, nothing to install.
This is an MVP. We built it on our own initiative to show what a product viewer of this kind can do, not as commissioned work, and it is not affiliated with or endorsed by the manufacturer. The product name and model are used to describe what is on screen.
The model loads at around fifteen megabytes on desktop; phones get a lighter version. Hotspots explain the coreless motor, the platter, the tonearm, the pitch control, the DIP switches, the chassis and the isolation, and the exploded view on a slider takes the deck apart layer by layer. The internal parts in the exploded view are schematic.
The same model runs in three modes: a plain viewer for embedding, a store mode for an iPad at the point of sale with an idle screen and a guided tour, and a web shop view that shows how the viewer sits on a retailer’s product page. On a phone, AR places the deck in the visitor’s own room at true size; on desktop the AR button shows a QR code. The interface switches between German and English.
